Sony Avenger: successor to the XA1 Ultra will have two selfie cameras

It was about a month ago that we broadcast news about a Sony Avenger, caught up in GFXBench, as a possible successor to the Xperia XA1 Ultra. Almost at the same time came the Sony Xperia H4133 which we take by the successor to the Xperia XA1 base. However, it seems it is now confirmed by government agencies that the Xperia XA2 Ultra will actually be the H4233 model.

The confirmation comes through the hands of the certification agencies of Malaysia and Thailand, where the trade name of Xperia XA2 Ultra is clearly visible. Through data previously captured on GFXBench, we know that the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra will have a 6-inch screen with FHD resolution. To be honest,  possible successor to the Xperia XA1 Ultra i only had good things to say on the screen, but with the real possibility that the XA2 Ultra comes with a bezel-less screen, we can have a substantially more compact device. This may or may not be positive, considering that the edges at the bottom and top of the screen can be particularly useful for holding on such a wide screen during a movie.

However, it seems that MediaTek has lost a customer. In the last two years Sony has always bet on Helio P for its mid-range, but GFXBench data points to the entry of the Snapdragon 630 in the XA2 range, which can be backed up to a base version, an Ultra and a Plus. 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 25MP main camera, and 16MP front-end data for hardware. The operating system will be Android Oreo, no surprises.

With these features, and even if we have praised the XA1 range in TekGenius, its successors are aligned to show a significant increase in power and quality. There are still no indications as to the date of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra official, but this may take place no later than February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Once on the market, the Xperia XA2 will be able to compete directly with the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 that is indicated for a colossal screen of 7 inches and an equally wide battery of 5500mAh. Regarding this last aspect, we do not know what the Xperia XA2 Ultra will bring.
