Amazing! MTN Introduces First Ever 5G Network Technology in Africa

Image
“This is the highest achieved on a mobile network in Africa‚” the service provider said in a statement on Monday.  It said it was ready to deploy the technology commercially but could not do so until it had access to additional frequency spectrum. The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa‚ which regulates spectrum‚ has not yet allocated spectrum for 4G infrastructure‚ TechCentral reported‚ forcing operators to reallocate 2G and 3G spectrum. Said MTN South Africa chief technology and innovation officer Giovanni Chiarelli: “There is no doubt that 5G will offer the consumer higher speeds and lower latency‚ but to achieve this we need the capacity that comes with additional spectrum. MTN has a 4G license in Nigeria and could look forward deploying the technology in the country in the near future. MTN has collaborated with network equipment provider Ericsson on its 5G trial and found that the technology is at least 100 times faster than 4G. Continue Visiting Th

Concerned with lack of playing time of the duo ahead of the World Cup, Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has urged Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa to move away from Leicester City if their situation does not improve. Iheanacho and Musa have struggled for form and regular playing time since they joined the Foxes from Manchester City and CSKA Moscow respectively. With six months to the showpiece in Russia, the Super Eagles gaffer has warned that players struggling for form and regular playing time at their various clubs are not likely to secure a World Cup berth. My plan is to execute the World Cup with the players who are playing regularly with their respective clubs," Rohr told SuperSport.  "How do you expect a coach to jet out to Russia with average players who lack playing time? I do take my time to visit various club sides in Euro

Greatest Teams Never to Win a World Series in the Past 30 Years-01 Athletics

Image
Perhaps no team I've done before or will do down the road was ever more forgotten in the sands of time than this team: the 2001 Oakland Athletics. The days of McGwire, Canseco, and Henderson were long gone obviously. And Oakland did it with a great young farm system of Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, and Barry Zito for the arms while you had Jason Giambi, Eric Chavez, and Miguel Tejada leading away with the bats. And there was something brewing in Oaktown when the Athletics put these guys out on the field. In 2000 Oakland won the AL West, but fell short to their East Coast Enemy Yankees in 5 and in a fight. But people were encouraged by the prospects of what was about to come. Giambi won MVP, Tejada and Chavez were both up-and-coming stars, Hudson, Mulder, and Zito were Cy Young candidates year in and year out while having many believe it was Maddux-Glavine-Smoltz 2.0. With Seattle losing Alex Rodriguez to free agency, many had the A's penned to win the AL West with ease. Whic

Projected Mets Starting Rotation for 2018

Adam Hagy-USA TODAY SportsAdam Hagy-USA TODAY SportsAdam Hagy-USA TODAY SportsAdam Hagy-USA TODAY SportsAdam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports The New York Mets starting rotation is still decent. It's not like they have a bunch of aging scrubs that are looking for a job, they have a bunch of young guys, none of which are older than 29. A lot have untapped potential that manager Mickey Callaway will hopefully tap into, along with pitching coach Dave Eiland. There are obviously major question marks with the back end of the rotation heading into the new year, as there are about five candidates that can fill in the every fifth start. Stability in the rotation will have to rely on health, with Mets starters last season spending far too much time on the disabled list with the sole exception of Jacob deGrom. Keeping all of this in mind, here is the projected starting five-man rotation for the New York Mets heading into the 2018 MLB season. 1. Opening Day Starter, Jacob deGrom Aside from a few iff

Common and Rev. Al Sharpton attend the funeral service for Erica Garner, 27

Image
Hundreds of mourners gathered in Harlem on Monday to pay their final respects to activist Erica Garner, 27, who died on Christmas eve after suffering a heart attack. She was the daughter of Eric Garner, who died in 2014 after being put in a chokehold by a police officer on Staten Island. Erica was an icon for the Black Lives Matter Movement after her father's death. His final words, "I can't breathe", became a rallying cry for the movement. Public viewings for Erica were held Monday afternoon at the First Corinthian Baptist Church, followed by funeral services. Rapper Common and Rev. Al Sharpton were present at the funeral service and were photographed standing with Erica Garner’s mom Esaw Snipes. Rev. Sharpton delivered the eulogy for Erica and his social media posts throughout the day were aimed at honoring her. The service was not without controversy. There was tension outside the church on Monday night and police stepped in when it seemed those tensions mig
